When You’re Through Changing, You’re Through!

“If you always do what you’ve always done, you’re going to get what you’ve always got.”
-Henry Ford (Then Tony Robbins, followed by other forward thinkers!)

In other words, when you’re through changing, you’re through. (I said that. After I heard it….)

Ok, this guy just told me not to change too much in his last post, that my business will morph out of control! Hang on, that’s not quite what I meant. Our world is constantly changing, and for us to succeed we keep up, or be left in the dust.

In business, change usually represents growth and a stronger perspective of what our clients need us to deliver. One of the best ways to succeed as an entrepreneur is to recognize and embrace the growth required to obtain optimal results for you and your clients. Doing the same thing over and over? Likely not going to drive success. Not for long, anyway.

For instance, we recently updated our website. I felt there were elements to revamp because I didn’t see the site was driving results to its full potential. We didn’t veer away from our mission in any way. In fact, we are constantly striving to fulfill our mission to eradicate entrepreneurial poverty. To achieve this, we must keep an open, forward thinking mind to continuously improve success.

Don’t be through changing. Always look for opportunities to improve any element of your business and enjoy the benefits!

  1. Thanks for the reminder. I’m not through figuring this out.

Retail , to me is like wrestling a wet fat lady. As soon as I feel like maybe I have a grip on one part, it shifts and I have nothing concrete in my hands. Eventually, the westling will wittle away the fat on my lady and I will become stronger and possibly, before I expire, I will have figured out the hand holds.

  2. I tell therapists this all the time, the session is not about YOU it’s about what works for the client! If you’re not constantly learning and changing don’t be surprised when your client finds someone else. It’s amazing to me how many of them still want to rely solely on word of mouth or personal referrals to get new clients and then they voice frustration over how they’re not getting enough new people! I tell them sorry, this is the social media age, if you’re not doing any engagement with a virtual audience you’re going to get left only the scraps!

  3. One of the best habits I developed was meeting with my Marketing Coach on a set agenda of items we review and discuss monthly. Funny thing . . . our website is one of those things we discuss monthly. We are constantly making adjustments to it. I think it is a great website, but always needs improvement. For many of our clients, it is the first thing they see about us, so I want it to be striking. Also, by looking at it monthly, we never have to go through an “overhaul” because we are giving it attention . . . 30 minutes here, an hour there. Feel free to visit our website at baxtergroupinc.com.

  4. Oh, man! Just thinking about it seems tiresome. Is there some way to automate changes? Also, how often is okay to change a website? Every time I redo someone’s website, it takes a month or so to start showing up on top again.
