Before we get started here, I want to make sure we agree on something. Every hour of our life is an hour closer to our death. In other words each hour we spend, regardless of how we spend it, is a life unit. Okay? Okay.
So here is my question for you: How many life units are you willing to spend suffering in a business that you hate?
I mean, if you put your hand on a sizzling frying pan, I suspect about 1/4 of a second of life units is more than enough. So I ask again. When it comes to work that you hate (perhaps similar to the pain of a frying pan, just more subtle), how many life units will you spend before enough is enough?
And by the way… I kept the article really short. I want to avoid the classic response of “I wasted 2 life units reading this article.”
