When I was in college I would take a break from my studies to play a popular video game called Scorched Earth.
In the game, your tank would shoot a projectile along a certain trajectory based on the angle of your tank’s cannon. You could point it straight up and the missile would shoot high up in the air, only to reach its peak and come slamming back down on you. You could point your cannon horizontal to the ground, and it would fire out fast but hit the ground instantly. Ultimately you would find the perfect angle of shooting high and covering enough ground to hit your target.
I find that our entrepreneurial lives run a parallel story. Some folks shoot astronomically high, yet have no forward momentum. Others fire straight forward, but never ascend. And some, arguably the most successful, both climb high and cover a lot of ground.
No wrong answer here (and you don’t need to say your name)… what trajectory are you on? What are you doing for a course correction?
