We can’t have a meet up like this without a field trip! What better venue than a Savannah Bananas game!, If you haven’t heard of Savannah Bananas, they are a Coastal Plain League baseball team and happen to be one of the most profitable teams in the world. How? They’re different! And that difference has lead them to sell out every game in the last two seasons and land in a 78 game sell out streak. From dancing players and a break dancing coach as well as other innovative strategies, they have mastered their field. Literally.
Aside from the plain old good fun, we attended a Bananas game to witness what makes them different – what makes them masters, first hand. We gave members a behind the scenes look and the team divulged some amazing practices which we brought back and shared with our businesses.

I am MJ. I retired 3 years early from the school system, so I get a very small monthly salary from that. My husband works for a state university. I was an Independent Contractor Mental Health Therapist from March 2018 until March 2019 with about 2 months off. However I did not pay quarterly taxes on my earnings from IC work. So needless to say even with expenses we have to pay back a lot of taxes.
Now in March 25, 2019, I opened my own private practice. It has been steady and income has increased as my insurance contracting has finalized.
I have an accountant, but I want to learn the best way for my business to profit and to maintain it.
I have an LLC right now.
I am considering either filing as an SCorp or making the business an S Corp particularly because I would like the business income to separate from our personal expenses.
I am really concerned because it seems that in order to make the business an S Corp I will need a new Tax ID and that will mean I will have to update my current Tax ID with insurance companies. That can be a nightmare. Just changing from the owner who I worked as a contractor for to my own Tax ID when starting my business was a total nightmare. It took so long and many times the insurance companies put my information in wrong and took me out of network, etc. What should have taken 30 days took 4 months.
But I would like to get on Profit First Plan and set things up before I go too much further into running my business. Could you direct me on how to connect with someone that might be able to help me in my area. Located in Kannapolis, NC
