How To Remember A Question Without Interrupting

No Need To Interrupt

Have you ever been talking about something, and then someone interrupts you saying “I gotta ask something before I forget.” It could be a juicy question, or more often than not its just an annoying distraction. You don’t want to be that guy. You don’t want to be the one who constantly interrupts. But how do you remember a question, without interrupting and when you can’t jot it down?

Mnemonic Memory To The Rescue

The technique is simple, and it plays off of mnemonic memory techniques. When the question comes to mind, assign an object to it. For example, if you want to ask about some records the speaker has, you may make the object the Guinness Book of World Records. Next, in your mind, place that object on the speakers head. Give the book details like bright colors, and have it wobbling as he talks. Now you can continue to listen intently to their presentation.

When they are done talking, look at their head again and see if your mind left any images there. Oh yes, The Guinness Book of World Records. Records! Right. Now you can ask your question about records, or whatever you stored on their head, without ever needing to interrupt, jot things down or even trying to remember the question via rote memory.
